As the year draws to a close, we are delighted to share the incredible news that, thanks to the incredible support from our community, we have officially surpassed last year’s donation record!
Breaking Records, Spreading Smiles
Here’s the icing on the gingerbread house – this year, Security Public Storage and our generous community donated an astonishing total of 4,952 toys for Toys for Tots. This not only surpasses last year’s count of 4,787 but also showcases the resilience and commitment of our community to make a positive impact.
A Symphony of Support from SPS San Mateo
A symphony of generosity played out as SPS San Mateo orchestrated a remarkable Toys for Tots drive. The crescendo of giving reached new heights as Barry and Tyler, site managers of our San Mateo facility, sleighed the competition by collecting 2,980 toys. This outstanding contribution accounted for over 60% of our total count, turning their efforts into a true symphony of support for children this holiday season.
Barry and Tyler’s dedication went beyond the typical bounds of a toy drive. Their strategic approach involved dropping off donation boxes at key locations throughout the community, creating a harmonious network of giving. Local real estate companies, toy stores, churches, and other businesses became the pillars of this symphony, resonating with the spirit of generosity.
As the Toys for Tots drive tiptoed closer to its finale, we found ourselves on the edge of breaking last year’s record, a situation that required a little holiday magic to tip the scales.
Barry and Tyler dashed through the snow (or maybe just the busy streets of San Mateo) and delivered a grand finale. Not only did they meet the challenge, but they also wrapped up the season by beating last year’s record by nearly 200 toys. Their last-minute effort not only secured a record-breaking Toys for Tots drive but added an extra dash of holiday magic to the community.
