40th Anniversary Celebrations
In 2023, we commemorated our 40th anniversary with a series of celebrations held across many communities, including Modesto, Ashburn, Bethesda, Sacramento, Vallejo, San Mateo, Santa Rosa, Oceanside, and Huntington Beach. These 40th anniversary celebrations were more than just a nod to the past; they were a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the loyal customers and communities that have been integral to our success.
As the anniversary festivities unfolded, the events became a platform for us to reaffirm our commitment to excellence, security, and community engagement. The celebrations served as a bridge, connecting the nostalgia of the past with the promise of an even brighter future. Our 40th year was not just a milestone; it was a celebration of the enduring relationships forged with our customers and communities.
Community Art Murals
Storage facilities often boast long, blank exterior walls, facing well-driven roads, providing a blank canvas for us to deliver on our promise of Self Storage with a Difference™. One of our favorite ways to make a lasting impact on the communities we serve is by transforming our walls into stunning large-scale community art murals. These artistic additions not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our buildings but also serve as a thank-you gift to the neighborhoods that have welcomed us.
In 2023, we added murals to our Modesto, Vallejo, and Manteca facilities. In Modesto, the “Celebrating Modesto” mural unfolded as a visual symphony, comprising five unique works of art that collectively adorned 2,300 square feet along Carpenter Street and Woodland Avenue, capturing the essence of Modesto’s diverse cultural heritage.
The Vallejo mural became a local landmark, stretching over nearly 3,000 square feet, celebrating the city’s diversity.
Meanwhile, Manteca witnessed the unveiling of “Manteca’s Treasures,” a vibrant 3,300-square-foot mural, showcasing the city’s rich history and culture. Throughout the year, each mural became a testament to our commitment to community engagement, cultural celebration, and leaving a positive and artistic imprint on the cities we proudly serve.
Facility Upgrades
What sets us apart from the competition is our unwavering dedication to consistently upgrading our 50-plus properties throughout the West Coast and Washington DC area. We firmly believe in staying at the forefront of security features, prioritizing regular maintenance, and ensuring we always have exceptional onsite managers. This commitment is central to the thousands of 5-star reviews we’ve received from our valued customers.
Committed to providing unparalleled storage solutions, substantial facility improvements were executed in 2023. These upgrades included improvements like giving move-in trucks a lively new paint job, renovating office spaces, installing new floors, new unit doors, and new cameras. These upgrades collectively embody our dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and a secure storage future.

Community Service
We have always believed in giving back to the communities we serve. In 2023, we continued our tradition of community service through volunteering, hosting food drives, and participating in various local events. A few highlights from 2023 include:
For the entire month of February, we had sponsored food drives at 18 facilities.
Throughout the year, we hosted Chamber of Commerce Mixers at many of our locations.
SPS Bethesda set up a water station outside their facility to support local bike commuters on Bike to Work day.
SPS Pinole’s participation in the Bay Front festival in Hercules highlighted the company’s role in local events, fostering a sense of vibrancy and connection.
SPS Manteca was thrilled to be included in Prestige Senior Living’s event where they showcased our Plinko board and connected with the Manteca community.
Toys for Tots
We participated in the US Marines’ Toys for Tots donation drive for the 26th consecutive year and it was far and away our best year yet! It warms our hearts to see the generosity and caring nature of our team, our customers and our communities. We donated an astonishing 4,952 toys for Toys for Tots. This not only surpasses 2022’s count of 4,787 but also showcases the resilience and commitment of our community to make a positive impact.
