It’s our anniversary and we’re excited to celebrate Security Public Storage’s first 40 years in business with parties throughout our entire operating region! We kicked off this summer of celebration at our flagship location in Modesto on May 20, 2023, and have been so lucky to eat, play, enjoy live music and connect with our customers and community partners in the regions we serve. The SPS 40th Anniversary summer of celebration has only just begun — we have anniversary parties coming up in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as Oceanside, California — eventually throwing 11 shindigs for the entire SPS community, coast-to-coast. Where will you join us?
SPS Celebrates 40th Anniversary in 2023
Ben Eisler founded SPS in 1983, but started his career in the real estate industry. While looking at an apartment building in Modesto, his broker asked if he would be interested in getting into the self-storage industry, which was relatively young at the time. The self-storage facility Eisler looked at in Modesto, California, would become the first SPS location. We still own the Modesto location on Woodland Avenue today — along with 50 other locations and counting.
A Word from Michael Eisler
SPS is a family-owned and operated self-storage company with 50+ facilities located in California, Oregon, Nevada, Maryland and Virginia. SPS President, and Ben’s son, Michael Eisler recently shared these words, which beautifully articulate what celebrating this milestone means to the company.
As we commence our fifth decade together, our commitment to those core values my father established remains stronger than ever:

The Parties Have Been a Blast!
We’ve already thrown parties in Modesto, Sacramento, and Vallejo, California, as well as in Ashburn, Virginia. Needless to say, we’ve had a blast connecting with our customers and community partners.
