Papapolloni Mediterranean Bistro uses the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to offer delicious, premium-quality Mediterranean food just a couple blocks down McHenry Avenue from SPS Modesto. Choose from authentic Italian favorites for lunch or dinner daily including pizzas, calzones, pastas, grilled sandwiches and entrees like lamb chops and fresh fish brochette. Another one of our favorite restaurants in our Modesto neighborhood is Thailand Restaurant. Thailand Restaurant serves your favorite traditional curry and noodle dishes in a casual venue with a cozy interior. If you’ve never tried their pumpkin curry, it comes highly recommended. We love visiting Thailand Restaurant for the excellent food as well as the great customer service. Their crispy spring rolls are definitely a favorite around here.

Sometimes, nothing beats seeing a movie on the big screen or knocking down some pins with your friends on a Friday night. It’s these simple pleasures that were the main source of entertainment for many of us as children and teenagers. SPS Modesto on McHenry Avenue is located right next door to Regal’s Modesto movie theater. The brand new stadium seating makes for an enjoyable cinematic experience. And unlike when we were kids, this theater has beer and wine available for purchase in addition to a full menu of food and, of course, lots of buttery, delicious popcorn.

A couple blocks away from SPS Modesto, you’ll find McHenry Bowl, a bowling alley with leagues for all ages as well as weekly glow-in-the-dark bowling nights. McHenry Bowl has an arcade for the kids in your group, or for your inner child. The bowling alley has been around since 1959, providing groups of all ages a great source of entertainment, family-friendly fun as well as pizza and drinks.
