In case you’ve never tried it, In-N-Out is a classic, California-based burger chain serving customizable burgers, hand-cut fries and thick milkshakes. If you’ve ever heard someone talking about eating their burger “animal-style,” they’re likely talking about an In-N-Out favorite. You better get in line now, you know it’s worth the wait.

Another one of our favorite nearby restaurants is The Chicken Hawkers. The Chicken Hawkers specializes in Khao Mun Gai, which is made from free range chicken and only the best Thai herbs from Thailand. This isn’t your average Thai restaurant and you’ll be very pleased about that once you try the delicious dishes. One snack no one can stop raving about is the Fried Chicken Skin; it’ll definitely have you running back for more!

Lockwood Acres is one of our favorite local farms and it offers farm tours, subscription boxes, fresh produce, eggs, herbs, jelly, honey and more. Take the farm tour and learn about where your food grows and how Lockewood Acres came to be. Lockewood Acres is a full-service, certified organic farm modeled on the Community Supported Agriculture model, which they call The Farm Club.

The Vacaville Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9am to 1pm, May through October at Creekwalk Plaza in Andrews Park in Vacaville. Here, you can find fresh produce, locally raised meats, honey, flowers and other seasonal, fresh items for sale by local farmers and ranchers. Once you start buying your produce from local farmers and ranchers, you may never go back to the grocery store.
