With a location this close to San Francisco, we’re fortunate to have transplants from all over the world bringing their cuisines to San Ramon. Kabul Kabob & Grill is one of our favorite spots for Afghani food in the region. Kabul has a friendly staff and reliable customer service, as well as amazing food. Choose from a variety of kabobs, all marinated perfectly. We recommend the Qabili Palaw, which is lamb shank cooked with special seasonings, and served with rice topped with raisins and carrots.

A short drive from SPS San Ramon, discover the refined takes on classic dishes at Gianni’s Italian Bistro. Gianni’s has a great wine selection, which pairs perfectly with your delicious Italian dishes. They also offer a low-calorie menu for those who would still like to enjoy a classic Italian dinner without all of the calories. We’re big fans of the gnocchi and they have a great caesar salad. You’ll enjoy the atmosphere, wine and food at Gianni’s Italian Bistro in San Ramon.

One of our favorite attractions near SPS San Ramon is the Blackhawk Museum, located just a short drive away in Danville. Blackhawk Museum was founded in 1988 and is best known for its classic, rare, and one-of-a-kind automobile collection. Over the years, Blackhawk Museum has expanded to include four additional, unique exhibits for you to explore: The Spirit of the Old West, Into China, Art of Africa, and World of Nature. The Museum offers unique educational experiences for visitors to explore the historical and rich complexities of each of these exhibits. At Blackhawk, no matter your interest, there’s something for everyone.

Over the past few years, it seems like escape rooms have become popular and we’re lucky enough to have Zscape Games in San Ramon nearby. Escape rooms bring groups together to solve puzzles, discover clues and escape the room in under 60 minutes. Zscape Games offers a variety of storylines for you to choose from and they also have virtual reality escape rooms. Imagine flying through space, trying to escape an explosion or floating through the mind of a mad man. It’s all possible when you choose the VR escape rooms at Zscape Games.

City and Country

San Ramon boasts a great location in the Bay Area with plenty of opportunities to enjoy both the city and country. Head north east to Mt. Diablo to hike at one of the many trailheads. Head north west to Las Trampas Regional Wildlife Park for more than 5,000 acres of wilderness and trails for both hikers and horseback riders. There’s no shortage of things to do in San Ramon, both indoors and out.
