All Your Favorite Foods
Scott’s Burger Shack has served thousands of people in the South Sacramento area since opening in 1982. It may be a small building, but this family-owned and operated restaurant is big on flavor. Choose from a variety of different burgers — our favorite is the Western Burger — as well as sub sandwiches, hot sandwiches and more. Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth with a milkshake or malt in various sweet and fruity flavors. If you’re not one for a butterscotch milkshake, you can always finish your meal with an ice cream cone.
Siam takes the title of our favorite Thai food in Sacramento. We love stopping by Siam, a cozy place to meet friends or family for an authentic, delicious Thai meal. Try Thai favorite noodle dishes like Pad See-ew or Drunken Noodles or opt for the delicious fried rice and select your protein. We recommend the shrimp fried rice or the pineapple fried rice. Siam has reasonable prices, friendly people and tasty food. Siam will quickly become one of your favorite Thai restaurants in the city.
Track 7 Brewing Company is one of our favorite breweries in Sacramento. Their original taproom on W Pacific Ave often has food trucks parked outside, which pair perfectly with their artisanal craft beers. The design of the taproom allows you to watch as Track 7 brews their beers. Track 7 taprooms are kid and dog friendly, which is one of the best perks of visiting the brewery. Sit on the patio and enjoy the sunshine with a Bee Line Blonde in one hand and your dog’s leash in the other.

Historical Sacarmento
Have you ever wanted to step back in time? Pay a visit to the Stanford Mansion and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the 1850s. Stanford Mansion is a restored 1856 Victorian mansion that serves as a museum. Once inside, you’ll see many different unique pieces representative of the time period. Photos aren’t allowed inside, so if you want to see this frozen-in-time mansion, you’ll have to take a free tour. Expect to see 17-foot ceilings, gilded mirrors and exquisitely detailed moldings, beautifully restored woodwork, historical paintings and stunning crystal and bronze light fixtures.
Sacramento has such a rich history in the state of California. Another great museum we love is the California State Railroad Museum. This colorful, 2-story museum documents the history of the railroad in California via old locomotives, exhibits and rides. Exhibits change regularly, but a few examples of what you can expect include the Chinese Railroad Workers’ Experience, Gold Spike Exhibit Gallery, The Magic of Toy Trains and more.
