Lake Perris
State Recreation Area

We love the easy accessibility to the outdoors while living in Moreno Valley and one of our favorite places to get out and explore is Lake Perris State Recreation Area. Perris Reservoir is a popular body of water within the park that’s perfect for boating and water recreation. There are plenty of great camp sites where you can escape into nature and “rough it” for a few days. Bring along your jet skis and it makes for the perfect summer getaway, just minutes from home.

Hike around Perris Reservoir and you’ll find a range of indigenous flora and fauna as well as native birds and animals like quail and jack rabbits. Bring your binoculars and be ready to catch a glimpse of all of the different species of birds flying around the lake area.
