At Security Public Storage, we recently produced a video about the Hayes Valley community where you can find our San Francisco self-storage facility. Charles Ruiz, our on-site manager, is a native San Franciscan and is no stranger to the neighborhood. In the video, Charles gives viewers a brief history of the Hayes Valley neighborhood and the cultural hub it has become since the city demolished the Central Freeway. Like Charles, it means a lot to us to be involved in this urban, creative and innovative community.

Community Involvement in Hayes Valley

As our long-time San Francisco site manager, Charles has worked to build relationships within the Hayes Valley community. Right next door, a pre-school calls our block home and we have partnered to ensure the neighborhood is safe and clean for the kids. SPS has also partnered with the Red Cross to help displaced individuals. With the Covid-19 pandemic still impacting our business and customers, we work with our customers to help out during these tough times.

Hayes Valley Self Storage at the Center of Cultural Hub

Our Hayes Valley self-storage facility in San Francisco boasts easy access to cultural and performing arts. If you visit our storage units between 3-6pm you may be lucky enough to hear the beautiful harmonies radiating from the San Francisco Girls Chorus. This neighborhood is also home to the SF Jazz Center, the first stand-alone structure in the country built specifically for jazz.

Community and Camaraderie

We love hearing Charles talk about the Hayes Valley neighborhood and how it continues to evolve. Our Hayes Valley self storage facility, like all of our locations, fits neatly into the surrounding community and we look forward to more involvement post-pandemic! Watch our video, meet Charles and get to know the community surrounding our San Francisco storage facility.
