Applicants should have a background in or talent for retail sales and marketing as well as excellent customer service skills. It is also necessary that the applicant have some familiarity with basic computer functions and the ability to work the facility’s operating software program.

Prerequisites for this position include having strong telephone skills as well as being comfortable and confident in serving the public in a retail environment. You will also need to be proficient in running an organized office and completing all reporting procedures in a timely manner. Light maintenance skills, such as changing lights, painting, fixing doors, etc., are also helpful. Most important is that you are an energetic, positive individual who strives to improve customer relations everyday.
It should be noted that many Security Public Storage facilities are primarily managed by two individuals: a manager and assistant manager.
